Caldwell County Public Schools and Dawson Springs Independent Schools were well represented at Governor Andy Beshear’s inauguration parade on Tuesday in Frankfort.

Public Relations Coordinator Lizzie Wynn tells Your News Edge the groups that participated in the parade included the Caldwell County Elementary School’s Lighthouse Team, representatives and officers of the middle school Student Council, Gifted & Talented Leadership from the middle and high schools, and the high school AP Political Science Class.

Dawson Springs Independent Schools were represented by the high school marching band.

All communities impacted by tornadoes and floods during Beshear’s first term had representation at the 62nd annual inauguration parade.

Nurses from across Kentucky joined educators and other healthcare workers as joint Grand Marshals of the parade.

The parade and inauguration were both streamed live by KET.
