A Princeton man is facing strangulation, assault and other charges after police responded to a domestic disturbance early Tuesday morning.

According to Assistant Police Chief Shane Allison, officers were sent to the 100 block of Apache Drive shortly after 12:30 a.m. where an investigation revealed a physical altercation had occurred.

He says when officers tried to make contact with the perpetrator, 23-year Cory Patterson, at a residence close to the 500 block of North Plum Street, he jumped out of a window and ran from police.

Patterson was taken into custody and charged with second-degree strangulation, second-degree unlawful imprisonment, fourth-degree assault, second-degree fleeing and evading police on foot, and terroristic threatening. He was lodged in the Caldwell County Jail.
