George Coon Public Library Renovation Project Nearing Completion

Representatives of the George Coon Public Library are happy to announce that the upstairs renovation project is in its final phase and nearing completion.

Library Director Nichelle Faughn shared their excitement about reaching the final stage of the upstairs remodeling project.

click to download audioIn October, Faughn announced that the library had received a $50,000 T-Mobile grant that was going to be used to remodel the children and youth sections upstairs, which had not been updated in over five decades.

Work began on the upstairs renovation project in November and Faughn said on Tuesday that she is eager to see the final product when everything is back on the shelves and everything is in its place. She is hopeful they can host a grand opening celebration in mid-February if not sooner.

The George Coon Public Library is located at 114 South Harrison Street in Princeton. The library is open Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Tuesday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. until noon.
