A Princeton man arrested for disorderly conduct and resisting arrest is facing additional charges after he was allegedly found in possession of meth as he was being booked into the local jail Tuesday morning.

Princeton Assistant Police Chief Shane Allison reports around 10:00 officers were on patrol and heard someone yelling loudly in the area of Baldwell and Eagan streets. When an officer went to investigate and announced himself 51-year old Tyrone Harbin reportedly rushed toward the officer yelling and cussing and tried to push past the officer. Harbin was taken into custody and charged with disorderly conduct and resisting arrest.

While Harbin was being processed at the Caldwell County Jail,  Allison said jail staff saw Harbin trying to hide a plastic baggie believed to be methamphetamine. Jail staff seized the plastic baggie with the substance and notified officers. Additionally, Harbin was charged with possession of meth and promoting contraband.
