Princeton City Council Approves Bid for Fencing at City-County Park Ball Fields

Princeton City Council approved a proposed bid for fencing at two ball fields located at the City-County Park at Monday night’s meeting.

In unfinished business, Mayor Brock Thomas informed the council that the City-County Park Board recommended accepting the bid submitted from Triple J Fencing for over $54,500.

click to download audioThe bid was approved unanimously, with council members Brian Conger and Carl Copeland absent from the meeting.

Thomas mentioned that the fencing project would start after the Dawson Springs Youth League finishes its games at City-County Park.

click to download audioThe meeting agenda consisted solely of one item under new business: declaring surplus for the Princeton Public Works Department, which included a dump truck and salt spreader.

click to download audioDuring the mayor’s report, Thomas commended city intern Isabella “Boo” Burton for her victory in the Jackson Purchase Sectional 1 Rotary Club Speech Contest, which was hosted by the Murray Rotary Club last week. He also expressed gratitude to all those involved in organizing the tour of City Hall for the first graders from Caldwell County Elementary School.
