A Princeton woman has been arrested on numerous forgery and theft charges that occurred while she was employed at the Kentucky Department of Public Advocacy Public Defender’s Office.

According to Assistant Princeton Police Chief Shane Allison, 38-year old Jacqualine White was arrested on a warrant around 5:00 Wednesday afternoon charging her with 59 counts of forgery, 59 counts of unlawful access to a computer, theft by deception, and official misconduct.

He says the charges stem from an investigation where White was employed as an administrative specialist for the Public Defender’s Office and she accessed state computers to fraudulently submit travel vouchers on 59 different occasions between April and November of 2023 totaling more than $7,000. Allison reports the investigation revealed that White submitted the travel vouchers and gained compensation without actually traveling by unlawfully accessing computers and forging a supervisor’s name.

White was lodged in the Caldwell County Jail.
