Joyce Lacey, passed away peacefully on April 6, 2024, at the age of 90, in Princeton, KY.
Born on January 29, 1934, in Providence, KY, she was a daughter to the late Jess and Annie Blackwell.
Joyce dedicated many years of her life as a supervisor at Princeton Hosiery Mill. Her commitment to her profession was paralleled only by her devotion to her family and her faith. As a long-standing member of Ogden Memorial United Methodist Church, she lived her beliefs through her actions, always putting others before herself.
She is survived by her adoring daughter, Molly (Marc) Thomas of Princeton; her twin sister, Loyce Martin of Lawrenceberg, KY; her beloved granddaughter, Emily Catherine Ward; step-grandchildren, Preston Thomas, and Dru Hadley Thomas; and several nieces and nephews who will miss her dearly.
In addition to her parents, Joyce was preceded in death by her loving husband, Tommy Lacey; and her siblings, Louise Rowland, Fae Barnes, Jo Dahl, Darryl Blackwell, Thomas Blackwell, Morris Blackwell, and A.B. Blackwell.
Visitation will be held from Sunday, April 7, 2024 from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Morgan’s Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Monday, April 8, 2024 at Morgan’s Funeral Home with Bro. Kyle Noffsinger officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery.
