A pursuit that started at the 28-mile marker of  Interstate 24 crossed into several counties before ending in Trigg County Wednesday morning.

Kentucky State Police say they stopped a vehicle driven by 27-year-old Jermal Davis on Interstate 24 around the 28-mile marker after receiving a report of a vehicle possibly being connected to a Lyon County theft.

A passenger in the vehicle Jovon Moss reportedly got out at the 28-mile marker and left on foot before Davis drove off leading law enforcement on a pursuit through McCracken and Trigg Counties before coming to a stop at Colson Hollow Campground and fleeing on foot.

Davis was located in a wooded area and taken into custody on charges of first-degree wanton endangerment, first-degree fleeing or evading police, resisting arrest, possession of burglary tools, receiving stolen property, open a alcohol container in a motor vehicle, and numerous traffic violations.

Moss was later located and charged with second-degree fleeing or evading police and stop/stand/park on limited access highway.

Kentucky State Police were assisted by the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office, the Marshall County Sheriff’s Office, Calvert City Police Department, the McCracken County Sheriff’s Office, US Forest Service, Kentucky Park Rangers, and the Stewart County, Tennessee Sheriff’s Office.
