A Princeton teen was injured in a single-vehicle wreck on Marion Road Thursday morning.

Sheriff Don Weedman says the wreck occurred about four miles north of Princeton when 17-year old Deason Morris was traveling southbound on Marion Road at an unsafe speed and he reached for an object in his pickup truck, causing him to lose control. Sheriff Weedman says the vehicle dropped off the southbound shoulder of the road and then crossed the northbound lane where the truck hit an earth embankment, causing it to overturn before striking a utility pole.

Caldwell County EMS transported Morris to Lourdes Hospital for treatment of injuries.

Deputy Stacy Blackburn investigated the collision and was assisted on the scene by Princeton Fire and Rescue, and the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet provided assistance with traffic control while KU replaced the broken pole.
