The King’s Kitchen of Caldwell County Food Drive is Underway

With summer break on the horizon, The King’s Kitchen of Caldwell County is once again stepping up to provide kid-friendly meals to support children in need during the long break from school during the summer months.

However, the non-profit organization is facing challenges this year due to the increasing cost of food and needs the help of the community more than ever to ensure families have access to meals throughout the summer.

According to Lee Anne Gilkey with The King’s Kitchen, they have reduced the number of children participating in the summer feeding program this year.

If you cannot attend the event at Food Giant, donations can also be dropped off at the WPKY Studio at 1035 Main Street throughout the day or before May 30th. Gilkey asks that checks be made payable to The Kings Kitchen for monetary contributions.

WPKY also wants to thank our community partners Fredonia Valley Bank and Food Giant of Princeton. By coming together and supporting each other, we can ensure that no child in Caldwell County goes hungry this summer.
