Fredonia City Council Approves Resolution for Buddy Rogers Park Upgrades

At Monday night’s meeting, the Fredonia City Council approved a resolution for a grant that if approved would be used for upgrades to Buddy Rogers Park.

Fredonia Mayor Jim Seibert tells WPKY’s News Edge that the city has a plied for a $200,000 Land and Water Conservation Grant for the park upgrades.

click to download audioWith the Fredonia City Council now committed to the resolution, Mayor Seibert stated that PADD will handle the next steps.

click to download audioHe mentioned that they applied for the grant this year, and if everything proceeds as planned, they will apply again next year. He added that although this is a matching grant, they have plenty of volunteers and businesses willing to assist, so it shouldn’t be a problem.

Mayor Seibert also expressed his gratitude to Caldwell County Judge-Executive Kota Young for his hard work helping with the grant for the City of Fredonia.
