Michael Jamieson, 76, of Kuttawa

Michael Jamieson, age 76, of Kuttawa, KY passed away Sunday, May 19, 2024, at River’s Bend Retirement Community.  Michael was a building maintenance supervisor and a U.S. Navy veteran.  Michael was a member of St. Mark Catholic Church and American Legion Post 68.  He enjoyed reading, being a part of the Legion/VFW military Honor Guard, and coordinating placing American flags on veterans’ graves in Lyon County each Memorial Day.  Michael was actively involved in the placing of Flags of Honor at the Eddyville Park each year.
Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Lynn Ann Widmann Jamieson, Kuttawa; one daughter, Christine (Shawn) Grogan, Clarksville, TN; two sons, Robert (Lisa) Jamieson, Lanexa, VA and William (Kristen) Jamieson, Pleasant View, TN; one sister, Katherine Maietta, Mahwah, NJ; one brother, Peter Jamieson, Hackensack, NJ; six grandchildren, Stephanie Currier, Justin (Becky) Currier, Alisha Jamieson, Danielle Jamieson, Kaitlyn Jamieson,  Abigail Grogan; eight great grandchildren, Paris, Jocelynn, Gavin, Amirah, Hailey, Aida, Rylee, Abe, and one great-great grandchild, Easton and several nieces and nephews.
Michael was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Eileen Sherman Jamieson and one brother, Walter John Jamieson.
Visitation will be Wednesday, May 22, 2024, at Lakeland Funeral Home, Eddyville, KY from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm concluding with “A Remembrance of Michael Jamieson” at 7:00 pm.
Funeral Mass will be Thursday at 11:00 am at St. Mark Catholic Church with military honors to follow.  Entombment at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West in Hopkinsville will be at a later date.
