‘Food as Health’ Program Series Next Month at Caldwell Extension Office

Caldwell County Family & Consumer Sciences Agent Ashley Board has announced they are launching a Food as Health Program series next month.

This series will explore the connection between the foods we consume and our overall health.

According to Board, the first session, titled “Food as Health on a Budget,” will take place on Tuesday, June 4.

click to download audioShe noted that they will be distributing a wealth of information, including options for low-sodium dishes.

click to download audioThe additional Food as Health Programs will cover various topics: a Heart Disease session on June 11, a High Blood Pressure session on June 18, and Health for Diabetes sessions on June 25 at 1 p.m.  and on July 2 at 5:30 p.m.

Board says you can sign up for every session or pick and choose the sessions of interest.
