Sunday Night Storms Feature Heightened Tornado Threat

A rare Moderate risk for severe storms (level 4/5) has been issued for western Kentucky, ahead of the next round of late afternoon/overnight thunderstorms.

The Storm Prediction Center in Norman, Oklahoma issued the update stating that “tornadoes, some strong to intense, and large to very large hail are the primary threats.” The storms are expected to form in Missouri before 6:00 PM and eventually track into the region.
