Jackie Robinson, 70, of Stone Mountain, Georgia

Jackie Robinson, age 70, of Stone Mountain, GA, passed away on Thursday, January 23, 2025, at his home.

Jackie was born on December 10, 1954 in Kuttawa, KY to the late Coble and Jessie Mae Edmond Robinson. Jackie served his nation in the US Army. After coming home, Jackie received his bachelors in social work and psychology from Murray State University. He used his knowledge in many areas, most recently as an employment specialist for DeKalb Community Service Board. In his free time, Jackie enjoyed flower gardening, traveling, cooking and shopping. No matter where he was seen, Jackie would always be dressed to the nines. Jackie leaves behind a legacy of generosity and friendship.

Survivors include his brother, Clarence Robinson of Princeton; sister, Thelma Sivils of Hopkinsville; several nieces, nephews and close friends.

In addition to his parents, Jackie is preceded in death by his sisters, Jo Ann Faulkner, Myrtle McKinney, Dorothy Sivels, Betty Jean Robinson and Mattie McGowan; brothers, Howard Wesley Robinson, James Robinson, Raymond Lewis Robinson, Lonnie Robinson and Elliott Robinson.

Visitation for Jackie Robinson will be held on Wednesday, February 5, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Morgan’s Funeral Home in Princeton.

Funeral services will follow at 12:00 PM at Morgan’s Funeral Home with Rev. Carl Copeland officiating. Burial will follow in Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West in Hopkinsville.

Morgan’s Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
