Robert “Bob” Alexander, 83, of Princeton, Kentucky, passed away on March 6, 2025, at Deaconess Baptist Health Madisonville.
He was born on May 22, 1941, in Wheatridge, Colorado, to his late parents, Archie and Mary “Loveall” Alexander. Bob’s life was marked by his generosity, humor, and the countless interesting tales he had to share. He was a skilled repairman at a body shop in Illinois, where his work was not just a job, but a craft. He was of the Baptist faith and found joy as an avid gun collector. The great outdoors was Bob’s sanctuary; he cherished moments with his beloved horses, revving up his motorcycle, nurturing his garden, and embracing every opportunity for an adventure. Bob shared a special relationship with Katie Beth and his partner in crime, Collin. His spontaneous jokes, story telling, and song-filled heart never failed to light up the room. Bob was a man who never met a stranger, touching lives with his endlessly generous and interesting character.
Bob is survived by his two daughters, Vickie (Ronnie) Purcell of Caldwell County, Susan (Jessie) Alexander of Indiana; two sons, Robert John Alexander of Indiana, Phillip Alexander of Indiana; beloved Sara Hyslop of Caldwell County; sister, Geraldine Alexander of Washington; ten grandchildren, Becky (Daniel) Mayes, DJ (Taylor) Purcell, Katie Beth Purcell, Justin (Ashley) Alexander, Brandon Alexander, Aaron Alexander, Christina (Kevin) Abernathy, Noah Alexander, Breanna Alexander, Alyssa Toscani; fifteen great-grandchildren; and his beloved dog, Sadie.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Harley Purcell.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 11, 2025 at Morgan’s Funeral Home in Princeton with Pastor Troy Jent officiating. Burial will follow in Piney Grove in Caldwell County.
Visitation will be held from 12:00 PM until 2:30 PM on Tuesday, March 11, 2025 at Morgan’s Funeral Home.
