Mayor Brock Thomas and Princeton Public Works Director Chris Pool visited WPKY’s “Coffee Talk with Tess” on Tuesday and detailed how over 1,400 sandbags were obtained and then handed out to local residents. As record breaking rain totals fell causing major flooding hazards across Western Kentucky, the free sand bags certainly proved to be a blessing for many in the city of Princeton. Thomas and Pool explain how and where to return those sandbags as we move on to begin prepping for the next “just in case” scenario. Listen to the visit below:
WPKY’s “Coffee Talk with Tess” can be heard Mon, Tues, Wed and Friday mornings on 1580-103.3 WPKY, from 8:10am-9am. WPKY features local issues, officials and guests from across the area. You can also listen free on our website at WPKYonline.com or the free WPKY app.
