WPKY’s “Coffee Talk with Tess” is celebrating National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week all week this week. Way too often we forget to thank those folks who are answering our 911 calls. The first World Telecommunication Day was celebrated back in 1969. The goal was to bring awareness to the pivotal role dispatchers play in our lives, show thankfulness for the countless lives they save across our country every day and celebrate their personal choice to serve. “Coffee Talk” is featuring local telecommunicators every day this week.
