A Dawson Springs woman was charged with rape over the weekend.
According to the Hopkins County Sheriff’s Office, the 37-year-old woman was arrested around 2:30 Sunday morning, after she allegedly engaged in sexual intercourse with a boy who is at least 16 years old but under 18.
Deputies said when they made contact with the woman, she was under the influence of alcohol.
She was taken into custody and lodged in the Hopkins County Jail on charges of third-degree rape and alcohol intoxication in a public place.
