Caldwell Primary Students Celebrate ‘Super Duper Day’ (w/PHOTOS)

Friday was a Super Duper Day for students at the Caldwell County Primary School as they boarded a bus and made a short trip up the hill to enjoy a fun time provided for them by the Caldwell County FFA and Agriculture Classes.

When arriving at the high school, the young students divided into groups and made their way around to 3 different settings to learn and participate in an activity in each place. One group prepared a cut out wooden plant to paint for Mother’s Day, another group went into the shop area and saw live animals and filled out paperwork placing the animal name by the correct beginning letter of the animal on their clipboard and the other group went to the greenhouse to see and learn about growing plants.

According to FFA Advisor Magen Woods, this program started around 10 years ago as a way for the high school students to assist the young students to have a project and gift to take home for Mother’s Day.
