The Princeton Rotary Club celebrated the achievements of its 2025 scholarship recipients during its meeting on Tuesday.
The Club’s Scholarship Committee, comprised of Laura Klubert, Paulette Gray, and Steffani Burton, selected Grace Oliver, Abbey Jo Gill, and Collin Whittington as this year’s scholarship recipients. Each student was awarded a $1,000 scholarship from the Club.
Klubert shared that 22 applicants applied for the scholarships and submitted a short essay.

During the meeting, each scholarship recipient shared personal insights, discussed their college plans, and read the essays they submitted as part of their application.
Gill said she plans to attend Western Kentucky University.
She also read her essay to Rotarians.
Oliver plans to attend the UK College of Engineering at the Paducah campus.
She presented her essay about pursuing her dream.

Klubert shared information about Whittington, who was unable to attend, and mentioned that all three scholarship recipients will be honored on Class Night.

click to download audioIn addition to awarding $1,000 scholarships to the three students, Klubert announced that the Caldwell Regional Career Center received a $2,000 scholarship from the Club on Tuesday morning.
click to download audioAccording to Klubert, Skills USA is a competitive premier showcase of America’s most highly skilled career and technical education students. She said it’s one of the largest hands-on workforce development events in the world.

The Princeton Rotary Club convenes every Tuesday at noon at the Majestic Steak House Restaurant, located at 208 US 62 West. Visitors are always welcome to attend.
