Sandra Belt of Fredonia passed away peacefully on May 18, 2025, at the Salem Springlake Health and Rehabilitation Center. Born on March 4, 1945, in Gary, Indiana, Sandra’s life brought joy to all who knew her throughout her eighty years of life.
Sandra’s working years were spent as a dedicated kitchen worker at the Senior Citizens Center. Her caring nature made her a cherished figure among both coworkers and the seniors she served.
A woman of faith, Sandra was a member of Walnut Grove Baptist Church. The fellowship she shared with her church family was a source of strength and comfort throughout her life.
Sandra was a loving mother and grandmother who loved to read her bible and was a Chicago Cubs Fan.
Sandra’s legacy continues through her beloved family. She is survived by her daughter, Tammy Gilbert and husband, Johnny of Fredonia, her granddaughter, Jennifer Davis and husband, Curtis of Marion, her grandson, Dustin Gilbert of Cadiz, and five great-grandchildren, Taylor Davis, Oliver Davis, Isabelle Gilbert, Piper Gilbert, and Ayden Gilbert.
Sandra is preceded in death by her loving husband, Jimmie Wayne Belt; her parents, Rex Hendryx and Marjorie Lowe Denton; her daughter, Kelly Ann Belt; and her sister, Linda Colee.
Visitation for Sandra Belt will be held Friday, May 23, 2025, at Morgan’s Funeral Home from 11:00 am to 12:30 pm.
Graveside Services will be held Friday, May 23, 2025, at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Caldwell County at 1:00 pm with Bro. Mark Faughn officiating.
Burial to follow in Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Caldwell County.
