Caldwell County Teacher Joan Terrell Retires After 30 Years

Approximately five thousand four hundred days, that’s right, that is roughly how many days that high school teacher Joan Terrell has walked the halls of Caldwell County High School as a respected and loved English teacher.

She has been a positive influence to many students in her 30-year career and will be missed as she takes the next step in her life in retirement. Terrell shared the reason she spent her entire career at the local high school is that she loved the school and students at Caldwell.

Terrell explained why she decided to retire now.

She noted some of the things she will always remember that happened during her time teaching.

Terrell mentioned some of her next adventures as she retires.

She said that when she decided teaching was her calling in life.

Terrell added that the 30 years had gone by really fast.

Joan Terrell will continue to walk through the doors of Caldwell County High School for the next few days and then walk out the door after 30 years to begin her next phase of life.
