A Hopkinsville woman was taken to the hospital after a three-vehicle wreck in Princeton Wednesday afternoon.
Assistant Princeton Police Chief Shane Allison reported that the wreck occurred at the intersection of US 62 and Park Avenue shortly after 2:45 p.m.
According to the police, the investigation revealed 19-year-old Ayden Merritt of Cadiz was turning left from Park Avenue onto US 62 to go east when he struck the passenger side of a Jeep driven by 39-year-old Sherekia Cherry of Hopkinsville, who was westbound on US 62. Police said the impact caused Cherry to lose control of the Jeep, causing it to spin into the eastbound lane, where it struck a car driven by 32-year-old Elizabeth Pruitt of Hopkinsville.
Police said Cherry was transported by AmeriPro EMS to Caldwell County Hospital for possible injuries.
Police were assisted on the scene by the Princeton Fire Department.
