After honoring fallen heroes with the Princeton VFW Post 5595, community members remained at the Caldwell County Courthouse as the Daughters of the Confederacy held their annual Memorial Day service in front of the Confederate statue.
During the service, Sherita Holt, President of the Daughters of the Confederacy Tom Johnson Chapter 806, emphasized the importance of honoring the soldiers who lost their lives in the Civil War.
