Fredonia Dedicates Black Patch War Marker (w/PHOTOS)

The City of Fredonia recently received a landmark sign to recognize the site of a historic part of the Black Patch War of the early 1900s.

The marker is located at the now Buddy Rogers Park, but was formerly the site of the Rice Tobacco Factory that was burned by the Night Riders. Fredonia Valley Historic Society President Pam Faughn was part of the effort to gain the sign from the Kentucky State Historic Society.
