Two Princeton women are facing multiple drug charges after a wreck on North Jefferson Street sent two passengers, including a child, to the hospital Tuesday evening.

Assistant Princeton Police Chief Shane Allision says the single-vehicle collision happened on North Jefferson Street near West Young Street shortly before 6:45 p.m. Tuesday.

Officers reported that their investigation determined that the driver, 30-year-old Audreanna Swetland, was heading north on North Jefferson Street when her vehicle went of the road, causing her to lose control and collide with a tree line.

Police said Swetland’s passengers, 6-year-old Jolene Taylor and 29-year-old Taylor Taylor, were transported by AmeriPro EMS to Caldwell Medical Center for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. Officers said another passenger, 5-year-old Alayna Swetland, was not injured in the crash.

Officers said that when they first approached Audreanna Swetland, they could smell marijuana, and after further investigation, they determined Swetland was under the influence of narcotics. Authorities added that she was also found with marijuana, methamphetamine, and drug paraphernalia in her possession.

Police stated that their investigation also found Taylor Taylor in possession of several pills, meth, and drug paraphernalia.

Swetland was arrested and faces charges of her first offense for driving under the influence with aggravating circumstances, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, first-degree possession of a controlled substance – meth, and endangering the welfare of a minor.

Police reported that Taylor was taken into custody after being released from the hospital. She was charged with first-degree possession of a controlled substance, 2nd offense; first-degree possession of a controlled substance identified as Oxycodone; third-degree possession of a controlled substance identified as Alprazolam; and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Both women were lodged in the Caldwell County Jail.
