The WPKY Princeton Optimist-Kiwanis Radio Auction continued its momentum Wednesday night.
Optimist Club member George Kilgore reported that the auction items brought in close to $2,000, a slight increase over Tuesday’s total.
Kilgore noted that additional donated items have come in and will be featured on the auction board for both Thursday and Friday nights.
Earlier in the evening, David and Sara Choate spoke with Kilgore about the positive impact the Princeton Optimist Club has had on their family. Kilgore mentioned that Sara had inquired about the Platinum level during Tuesday night’s auction and invited her to share her experiences with listeners. Sara recalled tuning in to the auction with her family as a child.
She went on to describe how the radio auction has been a blessing to her family in recent years.
David said that he is grateful for the opportunity to give back to the community.
Edge Media Group President and CEO Beth Mann said that the Choates’ heartfelt message truly captures the spirit of the radio auction.
During the auction, Mann also took a moment to remind listeners about the various donation levels available.
With two nights remaining in the auction, donations are still being accepted. To contribute or donate an item, you can contact any Optimist or Kiwanis Club member, drop off your donation at WPKY during regular business hours, or bring it to the First Baptist Church Christian Life Center after 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
You can experience the excitement of the radio auction in person at the First Baptist Church Christian Life Center in downtown Princeton, or listen live on WPKY 103.3 each evening after the 5:00 news, around 5:45 p.m. The auction continues nightly through Friday.
