Rabon “Rabbit” Boyd Travis, age 87, of Caldwell County, passed away on Friday, June 13, 2025, at Baptist Health Deaconess in Madisonville, KY.
Rabon was born on June 28, 1937 in Crittenden County to the late Charles Franklin and Myrtle Boyd Travis. Rabon served his country in the U.S. Air Force. He was a skilled construction carpenter and worked many years putting those skills to good use. In his free time, Rabon enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping. Rabon shared his love of traveling with his beloved wife, Geneviee. Together, they put thousands of miles on their motor coach. Rabon was a member of Northside Baptist Church and Shady Grove Masonic Lodge #559.
Survivors include his son, Charles Travis of Caldwell County; stepson, Tommy (Connie) Pruden of Sacramento, KY; grandson, Seth (Kristyn) Travis of Caldwell County; two step-grandchildren, Lindsey Marr and Joseph Pruden; two step-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Rabon is preceded in death by his wife, Geneviee (Revlett) Travis; sisters, Sarah Enterkin and Dorothy Tosh; brother, Gordon Travis; and stepson Richard Pruden.
No visitation will be held.
Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, June 18, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Caldwell County with Bro. Dean Ray officiating.
