Caldwell County Public Schools has announced the selection of a new middle school principal.

Officials announced Wednesday that Pollyanne Kimmel has been named the new principal of Caldwell County Middle School. With 25 years in education, officials said she brings a wealth of experience, including 17 years devoted to Caldwell County students at both primary and middle school levels. They noted that her career includes 16 years working in primary and elementary education and 9 years within middle school settings, equipping her with a comprehensive understanding of student growth and academic achievement.

A native of Sturgis in Union County, Kimmel holds a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from the University of Southern Indiana, with endorsements in Middle School Science and Social Studies. She has also earned two master’s degrees from Murray State University—one in Teacher Leadership and the other in School Administration.

After their children, Geurin and Lillian, graduated from Caldwell County High School, Kimmel and her husband, Tom, moved to Madisonville. Officials said the relocation brought them closer to Tom’s job while still allowing them to stay connected with the Caldwell County community.

In a written statement, Kimmel expressed her gratitude for the opportunity to lead Caldwell County Middle School as principal. She emphasized the importance of the middle school years in a young person’s life and shared her dedication to supporting students, staff, and families throughout their journey. Kimmel also noted her commitment to building a culture of belonging, growth, and achievement together.

Superintendent Dr. Jeremy Roach described Kimmel as a dedicated and experienced educator who has already made a significant impact on both the schools and the community. He highlighted her strong leadership, deep understanding of students’ needs, and unwavering commitment to academic excellence, calling her the ideal person to lead Caldwell County Middle School into the future. Dr. Roach also shared his excitement about continuing Kimmel’s service in this new role.

Kimmel is set to begin her role as middle school principal on July 1.
