Code Enforcement Officer Alan Getz provided the city council with a comprehensive update on the progress of property compliance, recent condemnations, vehicle tagging efforts, and package stores.
During Monday night’s meeting, Alan Getz shared that the state has approved increasing the number of package stores to four, and they are currently waiting to see if any applications will be submitted.
He also mentioned that they recently attended a conference where they received information about entertainment destination centers.

Getz said one key major takeaway from the conference was learning about Rental Registration Programs used in other cities, which track and inspect rental properties. He noted he’s working to implement a similar program in Princeton and will share more details with the city council soon.
Getz said they continue to be busy tagging cars and addressing overgrown grass, with 10 violation notices sent on Tuesday for grass that needs to be mowed. He noted that while daily vehicle tagging is possible, the results have been positive and few cars have been towed.
