A single-vehicle wreck on Interstate 169 at the 16-mile marker in Christian County killed a Caldwell County man Monday morning.
Christian County Sheriff’s deputies say a tractor-trailer driven by 36-year-old Jonathan Dunbar was southbound hauling wheat when the left front tire blew out. The blown tire caused Dunbar to loose control of the truck, which resulted in the truck and trailer running into the median and overturning.
Dunbar was pronounced dead at the scene by the Christian County Coroner’s Office.
An ambulance was called for a firefighter who suffered heat exhaustion during the investigation.
