Mr. William Douglas Bebout, 94, of Fredonia, KY., passed away Friday, June 27, 2025, at Baptist Health Paducah.
Doug was a man of honor, faith, and he lived out the principles within the word of God. He was a Korean War Veteran and was proud to serve his country. After his father’s early passing in life, he joined the Army and helped support his mother and younger siblings. He enjoyed carpentry work and mowing his meticulous yard. He was known for his famous pecan pies and brownies. He was a member of West Ky. Pentecostal Church and worked for Potter & Brumfield for over 30 years, and he especially loved his dog “Jazzy.”
He is survived by; his wife Vaughnel Bebout; daughters, Paula D. Oliver (JC) May of Tolu, KY., Patricia G (Jay) Johns of Marion, IL., and Phyllis (Kent) Martin of Marion, KY.; step son, Chris (Karen) Flaherty of Mt. Sterling, KY.; step daughter in law, Lisa Flahardy of Owensboro, KY.; Siblings, Robert E. “Bobby” Bebout of Lola, KY., Donald Wayne Bebout of Lola, KY., Doris Arey of Lexington, TN., John A. (Linda) Bebout of Lexington, TN. and Billy Ray ( Mary Ann) Bebout of Rosiclare, Il.; grandchildren, Zak Oliver, Darrah Crawford, Damon Brown, Daniel Brown, Chad Faughn, Heath Faughn, Stephanie Nesler, Dallas Bebout and Sydney Jenkins; step grandchildren, Bethany Turner, Faith Humphrey, Hope Weber, Kara Gates, Karissa Gates and Patrick Flahardy; several great grandchildren.
Doug was preceded in death by son, Stephen D. Bebout; stepson, Brian Flahardy; brother, James A. “Jimmy” Bebout; parents, Ford and Amy (Kimsey) Bebout.

Upon request of Mr. Bebout, graveside services will be at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, July 1, 2025, at Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Salem with Bro. Johnathan Uzzle officiating.
