Princeton Code Enforcement Updates City Council on Demolitions, Rental Program

Code Enforcement Officer Alan Getz updated Princeton City Council last week on several ongoing property issues, including demolitions throughout the city.

According to Getz, demolition of the two homes at 412 and 420 East Main Street will start when Watson Excavating, the contractor, determines conditions are suitable, depending on the weather.

Getz also noted he is working with the owner of a damaged home on East Green Street.

click to download audioGetz reported that the owners of the condemned house at 322 Dawson Road have been making significant progress on repairs. He said he is waiting for them to complete the work so he can lift the condemnation and allow someone else to move in.

Getz further reported he has completed a rough draft of the rental program, which he will share with City Council members for feedback. He also encouraged any landlords interested in reviewing the draft to request a copy for their input.
