The Black Patch Festival is only 7 weeks away, and various plans are being made for the annual community celebration.
The Princeton Optimist Club organizes the Festival, and one of the highlights of the year is the Optimist naming of the Grand Marshals to serve and lead the annual Black Patch Parade through downtown Princeton on Friday night before the Saturday Festival.
Princeton Optimist Club President Shirley Gray announced the individuals chosen this year to receive this honor.

Gray added that she has been aware of the Optimist Club for many years and has seen the work put into the community by these men.
click to download audioGray said that during the Optimist meeting, she asked the three of them to step out of the room for a minute. When they returned and was told about the decision of the Club they were humbled by being named Grand Marshals.
