The end of July is quickly approaching and with that comes the time for students to be thinking and preparing for the return to school and the upcoming school programs.
According to Caldwell County High School Band Director Mason Henry the Band of Pride has joined other school groups and teams battling the heat to begin their season by holding Band Camp at the local high school.
Henry described the show and music the band will be performing this year.
He noted the marching band will have around the same number of students this year.
Henry added that last year the band was very close to advancing in the regional contest and plans on making it this year to the next level.
Henry and the band looks forward to playing for the community this year.
Henry shared if any incoming middle school or high school students were interested in joining the band program and taking music classes it might not be too late. They should contact their school offices and see what is possible about signing up for the band program before school begins for the year.
