Lisa Carol Sigler Thurman, 66, of Princeton, Kentucky, passed away on July 25, 2025, at Deaconess Henderson Hospital in Henderson, Kentucky.
She was born in Princeton on September 14, 1958, to her late parents, Gareld Ray and Esther Stephens Sigler. A proud graduate of Caldwell County High School’s Class of 1976, Lisa was an active member of the Marching 100, playing the flute and participating in the color guard. Her early career was deeply embedded in her family roots, as she contributed to their locally owned businesses, The Village Inn restaurant and the family car dealership. Lisa then took a role at the state penitentiary before she devoted herself to Bremner, currently TreeHouse Foods. There, Lisa worked in various administrative capacities from customer service to accounting.
An avid traveler, Lisa found joy in the sun-soaked shores of Cozumel and Cancun, where she and her beloved husband, Creed, embarked upon their annual trips. In addition to traveling, she had a passion for animals. Especially her cat, Coco, as well as her cherished late companions, Smokey, Muffin, Pasha, and Pierre. Lisa also found pleasure in the simple delight of shopping on QVC, where her purchases brought her joy and often, a special way to show her affection towards family and friends.
Lisa is survived by her step-son, Christopher Scot (Heather) Thurman of Clarksville, TN; step-grandchildren, Parker Creed Thurman and Taylor Keen; sister-in-law, Nancy P’Pool of Princeton; nephews, Justin P’Pool and Evan P’Pool; cousins, Gerry (Laura) Baker of Princeton, Twilia Baker Dorroh of Campbellsville; and close family friends, Steve Hogan, Sherry Hobby, Vickie Dietderich, and Sissy Wheatley.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Creed G. Thurman, Jr., and step-daughter, Kelly Jo Keen.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, July 28, 2025, in Cedar Hill Cemetery with Bro. Dean Ray officiating.
