Caldwell County Schools Announce Open Houses

Students and parents in Caldwell County are preparing for the beginning of the upcoming school year, and the local school district has planned open houses for all of the schools to welcome students back into the buildings.

The school year officially begins for students to enter the classrooms on Wednesday, August 13th, but the teachers and staff have been busy planning for opening day. Each school has planned its open houses to invite both students and parents to visit the school and meet the teachers.

The Primary School houses kindergarten, 1st, and 2nd graders, and School Secretary Holly Thompson invites everyone to their open house.

click to download audio6th, 7th and 8th graders attend the Middle School. They will hold orientation for 6th graders separate from the other grades, and Principal Pollyanne Kimmel explained the program for the 6th grade.

Kimmel added that the open house for 7th and 8th graders will be next week.

click to download audioFreshmen, sophomore, junior, and senior students will be attending the high school. Principal Daniel Kukahiko explained the open house for those students.

click to download audioThe Regional Career Center also has classes for high school students, and Principal Tim Bush invited students and parents to their building to meet the staff and tour the facility during their open house.
