Lena Conger, 86, of Caldwell County

Lena Conger peacefully passed away on August 15, 2025, at the age of 86. She was surrounded by the comforting embrace of the rolling hills of Kentucky, her final breaths taken in the same state she was born. Lena entered this world on January 8, 1939, in Caldwell County.

Her memory will be cherished by her devoted sons, Bruce Conger of Earlington, KY, and Bobby Lee Conger of Fredonia, KY. Her sisters, Mary Willoughby of Dixon, KY, and Barbara Wynn of Nashville, TN. Besides her sisters, Lena leaves behind her brothers Doug Canada and James Arnold Canada, both of Princeton, KY, several grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, who will fondly remember her.

Though Lena’s heart ached from previous losses—including her husband Phillip Conger, her parents, Willis Henry and Evelyn Caraway Canada, her son Phillip Conger and her siblings Linda Canada, Thelma Mae Conger, Loretta Campbell, as well as her brothers William, Allen, and Charles Canada—she continued to embrace life with grace and resilience.

Lena’s professional life was characterized by her enduring dedication and work ethic as a line worker at Potter’s Brumfield in Marion, KY.

However, it was beyond the walls of the workplace that Lena truly found her joy. Gardening was her way of connecting with the earth and nurturing life. Her love for being outside was as much a part of her as her kind eyes and gentle smile. Whether solving word puzzles or breathing in the fresh air, Lena found simplicity and contentment in the simple pleasures.

As Lena Conger’s story continues on in the memories of her loved ones, she has left behind. Her memory will be cherished, her absence deeply felt, and the warmth of her spirit will continue to guide us.

Visitation will be from 12:30 to 2:30 PM Monday, August 18, 2025, at Morgan’s Funeral Home.
