The Caldwell County Board of Education met for the regular August monthly meeting Monday evening in the Butler Alumni Auditorium.
The meeting was called to order at 6:00 pm by Board Chairman Tim Kennaday with all members present. Chairman Kennaday presented the recommendation of Dr. Roach for setting the school tax rate for the upcoming year.
Superintendent Dr. Jeremy Roach added he was proud to be able to recommend the same tax rate that the school has worked with for nine years. The tax rate was set by the board as recommended by Roach.
Director of Food Services Aaron McClung gave a detailed in-depth report of the services that are available for the local students including the summer feeding program. More information about those services will be provided to the public in the future.
