William White, 79, of Caldwell County

On August 21, 2025, the loving and respected William R. White, known to friends and family as Ronald, peacefully passed away at his home. Born on July 21, 1946 in Lyon County, Ronald’s life spanned 79 years filled with devotion to his family, a passion for nature, and service to his community.

Ronald’s career included dedicating many years as a Game Warden for the State of Kentucky, where he managed wildlife and natural resources. He was equally committed to his role as Chief Deputy Caldwell County Jailer. Even after his retirement, Ronald’s impact on his community remained profound and lasting.

Ronald was a member of Unity Baptist Church. His love for the outdoors was an extension of his faith, manifesting in his passions for hunting, fishing, and arrowhead hunting. Even in leisure, he found joy in watching horse racing and cheering for Kentucky basketball-simple pleasures that brought him immense contentment.

Family was the cornerstone of Ronald’s life. He is survived by his cherished wife of 33 years, Donna Miller White, and his children: Wendy (Roger) McDaniel of Eddyville, KY, Stephanie Miles (Gerald) Cotton of Fredonia, Kaylabeth Mendoza (Chris West) of Fredonia, and son Caleb (Lisa) White of Fredonia, KY. His legacy continues through his sisters, Ann Morris and Gayle (Bobby) Travis of Princeton, KY, his seven grandchildren-Justin (Haley) McDaniel, Peyton Miles, Ashton (Steve) Wurtman, Jacob Lady, Dylan Mendoza, Raelyn White, Raegan White-and two great-grandchildren, Cameron and Drake McDaniel. These loved ones, along with several nieces and nephews, will miss him dearly. Ronald now joins his parents, William Leonard “W.L.” White and Dorothy Stinnett White, and brother Leonard Wayne White.

As we bid farewell to this remarkable individual, we remember fondly a life well lived, a love unconditionally given, and a presence that will forever be felt by all who were fortunate enough to cross his path. Ronald’s indelible spirit will forever be cherished in the hearts of all who loved him.

Visitation will be from 1:00 to 3:30 PM at Morgan’s Funeral, Sunday August 24, 2025.
