Phyllis Stevens Robertson, passed away peacefully on August 26, 2025, at the age of 87 at her home. Born on July 6, 1938, in Caldwell Co., Phyllis devoted her life to her family, her work, and her community.
Phyllis is survived by three daughters, Roiann Ridley of Bowling Green, Glenda (Greg) Harper of Caldwell County, and Lisa Nugent of Hodgenville, KY. Phyllis's legacy continues through her seven grandchildren, Katie (Kerry) Harper, Jessie (Heath) Ryan, Clay Nugent, Carlye (Keith) Harper, Dyer Ridley, Lucas (Nikki) Ridley, and Ben (Chrissi) Ridley, as well as her twelve great-grandchildren, who brought her immeasurable joy, Marlye Harper, Kobe Harper, Braxton Harper, Charleson Harris, Drew Harris, Will Ridley, George Ridley, Catherine Ridley, Mary Rose Ridley, Noah Ridley, Ivy Ridley and Reid Ridley.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Roy Stevens and Ruth Dyer Stevens, her sister Connie Traylor, her brother George Robert Stevens, and her grandson Cole Nugent.
Phyllis was the co-owner of Robertson Lumber Company. She then extended her entrepreneurship when she opened the Peppertree Clothing store in Princeton. Phyllis also served her community with dedication as the Caldwell County Treasurer and later retired as the Construction Superintendent for the Kentucky State Parks.
She was a member of Ogden Memorial United Methodist Church, where she found comfort and strength in her faith. Phyllis was a wildflower enthusiast and loved to garden. She enjoyed taking her grandchildren on ski trips to the state park, a testament to her adventurous spirit. Phyllis enjoyed horseback riding and also found time to immerse herself in politics, always striving to make a difference.
Her creative flair was not just a personal passion but professional as well. While operating Robertson Lumber Company, Phyllis took pride in designing interiors and had a keen eye for renovating old homes. Her involvement in Paint the Town in Princeton and her membership in the Rose and Garden club were outlets for her creativity and her desire to beautify her surroundings.
Phyllis was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and dedicated her time to her family.
Visitation for Phyllis Robertson will be held Friday August 29, 2025 at Morgan's Funeral Home from 4:00pm to 8:00pm.
Funeral Services for Phyllis Robertson will be held Saturday, August 30, 2025 at Morgan's Funeral Home at 11:00am with Bro. Troy Jent officiating.
