An Alabama man was taken to the hospital after a motorcycle crash in Caldwell County on Labor Day.
According to Sheriff Don Weedman, Deputy Ashley Copeland was sent to the wreck on Marion Road and Stephens Baker Road on Monday.
He stated that the investigation showed 69-year-old Edward Gerald of Henagar tried to avoid a vehicle stopped in the road and, after applying his brakes, lost control of his motorcycle, causing it to run off the road and down an embankment.
Gerald was transported by AmeriPro EMS to Caldwell County Medical Center for treatment.
The sheriff’s office was assisted on the scene by the Fredonia and Princeton Fire Departments.
