A Fredonia man was flown to an out-of-state hospital following a rollover wreck in Caldwell County last week.
According to Sheriff Don Weedman, on Thursday, September 4, 67-year-old Larry McConnell was driving up his driveway on Rowland Cemetery Road, hauling rocks, when his brakes failed. He said this caused his vehicle to roll backward down the hill, overturn onto its side, and then back onto its wheels before coming to a stop.
Deputies reported that McConnell was transported by AirEvac helicopter to Deaconess Midtown Hospital in Evansville for treatment of injuries.
The sheriff’s office was assisted on the scene by the Princeton and Fredonia Fire Departments.
