State police are seeking information regarding a sexual assault that occurred in the Smith Bay area of Land Between the Lakes during the Labor Day holiday weekend.
According to Kentucky State Police Post 1, they received a report about a sexual assault on Sunday, August 31, that occurred the previous night. Authorities say a woman was discovered unconscious along the bank of Kentucky Lake in the Smith Bay area. After regaining consciousness, police say she declined medical care at the scene, but later visited a local hospital on August 31, where she had injuries consistent with a sexual assault.
Police noted they are aware of a glow party that took place in Smith Bay on the night of the assault, which the victim reported attending before losing consciousness.
