Three people were injured in a golf cart accident in Kuttawa over the weekend.
Lyon County Sheriff Brent White says deputies, along with the Kuttawa Fire Department and Lyon County EMS, responded to a single-vehicle collision on Lake Barkley Drive around 6 p.m. Saturday.
Sheriff White reports the investigation determined that 38-year-old Lacee Stanger of Murray was driving a golf cart uphill when a rear passenger stood up, shifting the weight and causing the cart to overturn down an embankment.
According to Sheriff White, the driver and two passengers were injured in the crash. He says two of the injured were transported by Lyon County EMS to an area hospital, while another individual sought treatment at a different facility and was taken by private vehicle. A fourth passenger was not injured.
