Three people were taken to a local hospital after a vehicle struck a parked car in Princeton on Tuesday.
Assistant Princeton Police Chief Shane Allison reports officers were sent to an injury collision in the parking lot of Pizza Hut shortly after 2:30 p.m. Tuesday.
According to police, the investigation determined that 57-year-old Joseph Lehocky of Marion was driving a van north on Marion Road when he began coughing and lost consciousness. As a result, officers said the van left the road, crossed over a curb and sidewalk, and entered the Pizza Hut parking lot, where it struck an unoccupied parked car. Police said the impact caused the van’s airbag to deploy.
Authorities report that Lehocky and his two passengers, 57-year-old Jennie Lehocky and 7-year-old Jordan Hamby, both of Marion, were taken by AmeriPro EMS to Caldwell Medical Center for possible injuries.
The Princeton Fire Department assisted police at the scene.
