Charles Prince, 88, of Caldwell County

Charles “Chuck” Prince, 88, of Caldwell County, Kentucky, passed away on Wednesday, October 1, 2025 at Baptist Health Paducah.

Born on September 16, 1937, Chuck proudly served in the U.S. Army as a military policeman following the Korean Conflict. A lifelong machinist and farmer, he was known for his hard work, generosity, and strong sense of community. Even after retirement, he enjoyed helping local farmers and driving grain trucks during harvest.

Chuck was a longtime member of Eddy Creek Baptist Church. He loved the outdoors, especially camping, boating, fishing, and traveling with his grandchildren. His famous “campfire toast” will live on in family memories for years to come. He also enjoyed woodworking and could often be found in his workshop crafting something by hand.

Chuck is survived by his wife of 64 years, Wanda Sue Prince; two sons, Charles “D’Wayne” (Kathryn) Prince of Princeton, John Wesley (Gigi) Prince of Hopkinsville; sister, Sue (Calbert) Merrick of Princeton; four grandchildren, Wesley Dwayne (Samantha) Prince of Waco, TX, Ash’Leigh (Marcus) Adams of Salyersville, KY, John Mark (Kate) Prince of Princeton, Matthew (Abby) Prince of Princeton; two step-grandchildren, Connor (Noelle) Alexander of Lexington, KY, Ginny Alexander of Fayetteville, NC; seven great-grandchildren, Alistair, Hermione, John Barley, Charleston, Piper, Miles, and Stevie Ann.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John Wesley and Aylene Prince; three sisters, Mary Lois Darnell, Mildred Hogan, and Wilma Price.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 4, 2025, at Morgan’s Funeral Home with Bro. Ronnie Sivells officiating. Burial will follow in Eddy Creek Church Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Friday, October 3, 2025, at Morgan’s Funeral Home.

Expressions of sympathy may be made towards Lance Nichols Cemetery, Tom Ward, 206 McGoodwin Ave., Princeton, KY 42445, where Chuck took great pride in the care of his parents’ cemetery.
