Jerrod “Monkey” Cooper, 34, of Princeton

Jerrod Ramsey “Monkey” Cooper, age 34, of Princeton, passed away October 23, 2025.

Jerrod was known for his big heart, quick wit, and willingness to lend a hand to anyone in need. If he wasn’t coaching Youth, Inc. Baseball, you could find him in the stands cheering on his son in every sport or spending time with his daughter. He was deeply involved in his community, coaching local kids and encouraging them to do their best both on and off the field. A true jack of all trades, he could weld, roof, and build just about anything he put his mind to. Jerrod found joy in the simple things-casting a line while fishing, sharing laughs with friends, and spending time with his family. Jerrod will be remembered for his humor, his hard work, and the love he showed to everyone around him. His legacy of kindness, craftsmanship, and laughter will live on in all who knew him.

Jerrod is survived by his long time companion, Stephanie Strazzabosco of Princeton; his daughter, Jezlea Cooper of Princeton; sons, Jaxon Cooper and Camrun McGregor both of Princeton; mother and step-father, Brenda and Jeff Vinson, Sr. of Eddyville; father, Chris Kimbrough of Princeton; maternal grandmother, Beverly Noel of Paducah; paternal grandparents, George and Gloria Kimbrough of Princeton; brothers, David Lee Cooper, Josh Cooper, Andrew Cooper and Michael Cooper all of Princeton, Kody McGregor of Louisville, Mikiah Kimbrough of Paducah and Elijah Calhoun of Eddyville; sisters, DeKyra Grooms of Princeton, Quintora Grooms of Clarksville and Marriah Kimbrough of North Carolina; aunt, Angela Noel of Paducah, Jackie Kimbrough of Buffalo, NY, Jenny Kimbrough of North Carolina; uncle, Chad Kimbrough of Princeton and Steve and Dan Cline both of Eddyville; along with a host of nieces and nephews whom he adored and could do no wrong in his eyes. Many, many best friends and loved ones.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Frank Cline; brother, Kenyon Childress; and grandparents, Robert and Elsie Cooper.
