For the very first time, community churches came together on Halloween night to provide a family-friendly event for the community held on the Butler Campus called “Light The Night”.
Halloween has been associated by many to be a night centered around dark, scary haunted scenes, but a few weeks ago, Princeton First Baptist Pastor Jerry Horine met with several local church leaders and proposed that they get together and present a night centered on the “Light” of Christ and the church. This night would include food, games, music, face painting, horse and wagon rides, as well as a Christian theme for the community to gather for a fun night. The night and activities turned out to be a huge success, with an estimated over 1000 people in attendance. Horine shared his excitement with the effort accomplished jointly by the churches involved.
